#Windows 10 build 10240 broken windows 10
Naturally, I have reported it but, really, at this point Microsoft should be fixing bugs not creating new ones!!! :bang:įaulting application name: explorer.exe, version: 0.16404, time stamp: 0x55b31b71įaulting module name: SHEL元2.dll, version: 0.16399, time stamp: 0x55b04f5fįaulting application start time: 0x01d0c846286c01d0įaulting application path: C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exeįaulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\SHEL元2. Version 1511 (OS Build 10586), released Nov. Microsoft dropped a new Windows 10 build for all its testers today. I presume one of the recent security updates has broken this functionality as I only checked my network settings a few days ago and it was working perfectly then? :3eyes: After about 10-20 seconds Explorer crashes and restarts, refreshing all the icons on the desktop and I can continue as normal.

I am having the same issue reported earlier by another poster, namely that when I right-click on my Intel I217-V connection under Network Connections and select Properties, then the Network Connections windows stops responding and I have a spinning mouse cursor at which point I am unable to do anything, including clicking on any icons in the taskbar.
